Hello Again,
Yes it has been a while for those of you who have followed and delighted in my previous ramblings. I was actually shocked to find that Ooh!That's Nice - Antiques and Collectables, has actually been in business for just over 10 years and not so much as an anniversary celebration. As they say doesn't time fly when you are having fun! Irrespective of what people will tell you business does have to be fun to do it, the same way as working for an employer, if it ain't fun stop doing it. Obviously it has to be profitable to allow the business to grow or there is no point being in business, doesn't stop it being fun though.
Like all businesses, we have struggled not just during the pandemic but over the last ten years of operation. There have been highs and lows but all the time we plough on to the future. The difference with businesses like ours, yours and everybody and Ploughing is that when a farmer ploughs he wants a nice straight furrow and business is not like that.Eventually you want to reach the end of your field but our furrow takes various twists, deviations but never straight as we look for better ways to improve the business.
We started ostensibly focused on Porcelain and pottery, this is still the main stay of the business but we also have dabbled in Metal, (Silver, Silver Plate, Brass and Bronze). Ephemera, Costume Jewellery, Vintage Clothing and glassware.
The title of blog is Onward and Upward in 2021 and that is exactly what we are doing. If you like this blog and the others listed back from 2015, when I first started blogging.
